What should I expect when scheduling an appointment through the Tendo app?
Tendo helps you find a provider and schedule an appointment using your smart phone.
Note: The Tendo app is not a substitute for medical emergencies. If you experience a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
Note: Based on your healthcare organization, the functions outlined in this article may or may not be available.
When Scheduling Your Appointment
Select an available provider. In the list of providers, any provider who displays a Schedule Appointment or Schedule Now button supports the online scheduling process.
However, please note that some appointment types may not support online scheduling. If an appointment type is not supported, a message will display notifying you that you must call your provider to make an appointment.
Select an appointment type. For supported providers, you can schedule an in-person appointment, or if available, you can schedule a virtual appointment.
Select the provider’s preferred location. You’ll be shown all available locations for that provider, along with the next available appointment date. However, you can select any date and time that is convenient for you.
Specify a reason for your visit. Describe the reason for your visit; be as specific as possible.
Schedule appointment. Schedule the appointment using the specified button.
Add the appointment to your calendar. Once the appointment is scheduled, You have the option to add the appointment to your calendar.
View appointment details. At any time you can view details about your upcoming appointment from the homepage. You can contact the provider via telephone, and view the provider’s address location. You may also be able to reschedule the appointment or cancel the appointment if necessary.
Before Your Appointment
Depending on your appointment type and provider preferences, you may be asked to complete one or more of the following tasks:
Confirm Appointment. Confirm your appointment and let your provider know you plan on arriving at the indicated date and time.
Confirm Medical History. Confirm your medical history information ahead of time to help your provider become aware of lifestyle characteristics that may be significant to your visit.
Verify Insurance. Verify your insurance information before your appointment to confirm your copay and appointment details will be billed correctly. If your insurance information needs to be updated, you can contact your provider’s office.
View Copay. View your copay and make a payment online. If your provider does not allow online payments, you can pay when you arrive at the office. Copays are due at the time of your appointment.

After Your Appointment
View Past Care Summary. The summary of your visit will be recorded and posted when available. The Summary includes the reason for your visit, the diagnosis, the assessment, additional instructions, goals and discussion notes, if any. You can also view any vitals recorded at the appointment.
View Past Care Results. If you have completed any lab work or had any procedures completed with your provider, lab results will be posted when available. Please be patient as results may take several days to complete. To be notified about posted results, please ensure you have enabled notifications.
